Bottle from Eliska. Clear amber, large offwhite head. Malty aroma, some caramel and a pleasant, discrete ashy, woody smoke. Malty flavour, light sweet smoke. Sweet. I would have liked more smoke.

Bottle from Eliska. Black, thick beige head. Roasted, malty aroma, dark choc and some bitter licorice. Bittersweet flavour malt and licorice. Lasting roasted amd licorice-y finish, nice alc warmth.

Bottle from Eliska. Nearly clear golden, white head. Aroma has mild pine, mild nelson, a little citrus. Bitter flavour, more nelson and pine with a nice whiff of spice in the finish. Lacks body to balance the otherwise nice flavour and bitterness.

Botttle, 5.5%. Roasted aroma. Clear dark amber colour. Good fairly stable plasticky tan head. The flavour is roasted and has a slightly rough bitterness. OK caramelly finish and slightly sweet. Good balance.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy copper brown with stable light beige head. Clear aroma of malt and hops, with touches of caramel and nuts. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of nuts and caramel malt and touches of yeast. Bitter, hoppy aftertaste with estery and malty touches. A nice beer for the style but nothing really illuminating as such.

Tap at M/V. I was shocked I didn't rate this before, but such is life and here I am. Golden body, lasting whtie head. Lean aroma, dusty, but nicely herbal and flowery. Lean herbal and flowery taste, light dusty touchest, some vague yolk, soft and bitterish. Quite nice, while not a wow, I gladly had another!
