Tap at Damian at a tasting. Slightly too much body, with associated caramel too, but still manages to keep the hops center. Resiny citrusy zesty hops character. Good one.

Tap at BeerGeek Bar, shared with Nisse666 (thanks!). Pitch black body with a beige head. Barrel or, rather, chips immediately in evidence, bourbon/vanilla, alcohol, some wood, some alcohol. Chocolatey notes mix with woody/vanilla-like chips notes in the taste, some alcohol, bit astringent, though not too much. Tannins show up more as it warms, of course, but while I'm not all over it, this is a good BA Imperial Stout. Just not a great one, the chips kinda overrode everything, not completely but enough for it not to thrill. Always a risk with them...

Bottle. Malty aroma, caramel, grainy notes. Tastes the same as aroma, light sweetish notes, medium to high bitter. Medium body, malty bitter finish. Good.

Tap at 20pip. Pitch black, small off white head. Rough dark malt aroma, dogfood heading towards coffee, intensive. Noot quite my style. Smooth sweetish backbone battered by roast. Actually, a touch of grana padano pops up, as does dark chocolate at times, only vague raisins. Interesting really, but noot quite my style.

On tap at 20 pip, Prague. Shared with Marko! Black. Medium creamy off-white head. Aroma is very delicately roasty, toasty, dark bread, fruity, dried fruit or overripe fruit. Flavour is very roasty, dark malts, dark bread, very serious. Burnt toast, no detectable hop character. Medium body, moderate carbonation, wonderful roasty and burnt lasting finish. Great!

Bottled 500ml. -from Pivny Raj Bratislava. Clear pale amber coloured, medium sized white to off-white head, odd yeasty and vegetable (leek like) nose. Sweetish malty, caramel, vegetables, some fruits and yeast with strong bitterness in the finish. Unbalanced.

Bottled 500ml. -from Pivny Raj Bratislava. Pale golden coloured, small to medium sized white head, light bready nose. Bready, grainy, some herbal hops and touch of grass with short bitterish finish. Rather usual.
