Description
When a beer enthusiast and a brewer come together it one household it can only end up in cirrhosis or a brewery. Lucky for us, it was a brewery and we have been brewing modern beer without filtration or pasteurization since 2016. In 2021 we purchased CK tanks in Fenetra / Clock brewery and moved all of our production into this cutting edge facility. Why Chroust? Our names are Karolína and Jirka Chroustovský.

Tap at Symbiont. A bit too hazy and pale, but at least not over the top with vienna character. Drinkable, tasty, rather reminiscent of classic pale lager, a bit yeasty, but good.

Tap at CBF. Pale golden pour, thin head. Nose is pleasant fruity, pretty tart. Tastewise it’s got that tasty fruity kick again with a decent amount of sourness. Good one.

Bottle shared at work. Deep, clear golden pour, white head. Nose is fruity hops, spicy peppery touch, faint grassy notes. So is the taste in this very order, with a slightly bitter finish. Light, dry body, average carbonation, drinks well below the ABV.

Tap at KEG. Hazy golden pour, white head. Aromas are tropical fruits and berries, candied stonefruits and some candy sweetness. It’s a lot, but in a good way. The taste is also rather in your face, with touches of candy, tropical fruits, apricot and citrus zest. Moderately dank. Closes with a long lasting, sweetish hoppy finish, has a huge body and soft carbonation. It’s a big beer but the ABV is very well hidden, feels dangerously easy to drink. Great stuff.
