We are named after the silver carp, the very fat fish roaming the rivers and lakes of Europe. Its shape resembles the body of one our brewers after he quit rowing. With all the fat he gained the nickname Lobik came included. From the look of things the whole team will earn the nickname rather soon.
The goal of the brewery from the very beginning has remained the same. It means making the beers we like to drink. Admittedly it means they are a bit heavy on the alcohol and complex with its tastes. Consequentially it means we use the highest quality of ingredients. Anyway, enough about us. We just hope you like our beers and drink them with the joy we do!

Can from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Fruity hop aroma with tropical fruit, orange, mango, some malt, touch of pineapple and grass. Flavour is moderate to medium bitter with some sweetness. Body is medium. Easy but lacks some punch.

Can from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Aroma is piney hop with grapefruit, pine resin, pale malt, citrus. Bitter flavour but I wouldn't say it's excessive. Body is medium. Likeable with lots of pine.

Can, Pivoljub. Clear golden, tiny white head, nonlasting. Mild fruity nose, citrusy. Medium sweetness upfront, medium bitterness, grassy. Lasting aftertaste. Lighter body, has a bit fuller feeling. Ok, nothing special.
