440ml can. Pitch black with a tan head. Aroma of cocoa powder, orange peel. Taste is rich, sweet (but not too sweet), dark chocolate, orange, brown sugar, molasses, warming booze - almost like it's been in a barrel, brandy perhaps? Full bodied, thick, smooth. Standard liquid Terry's comment but it's pretty evocative. A pastry stout done right.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 29/12/22. Hazed golden yellow with a good sized lasting white head. Nose is pine resin, guava, would have said pissy Nelson despite not being listed - presume the Riwaka providing this, dank chimes, grass, stoned fruit esters. Taste comprises orange zest, gooseberries, pine resin, faint lime, papaya, stoned fruit esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with resinous come dankened hop bitterness. Solid dank laden pale ... good flavour for the ABV although it seems the Riwaka is overpowering the Sabro which is hard to pick out.

Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, light tropical fruits, lemongrass, herb, grass, soapy edge. Moderate sweetness, light bitterness and tartness. Moderate body, slightly oily, foamy carbonation. A slight but rare Azvex misfire by their usual high standards..
