Pilot Boat Inn, Station Road, Bembridge, PO35 5NN, England
Description
Wight Knuckle Brewery was founded in 2021, by brothers (Fergus & Edward) and dad (George Bristow), and is based out of the Pilot Boat in Bembridge.
We hope to bring an end to the bland European lagers that are ever-present in our Island pubs and restaurants and lead the way in bringing craft, modern beers to the Isle of Wight with the Island's first microbrewery. Using only the highest quality natural British ingredients, and brewing in a sustainable way, we want to bring our passion for the Island into every beer we brew. We are proud to say that all of our natural beers are unfined, unfiltered, unpasteurised and 100% vegan.

Can at SHIG place tasting, thanks to SHIG, 15/04/23. Dark Cola brown with a good sized tan cap that stays for the show. Nose is mellow roast, charr, dusty hops, pine needle, cocoa sprinkle. Taste comprises charr, roasted bite, cocoa powder, ashen tones, dried fruit esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close spattered with earthy hop bitterness. Tidy enough CDA.

440 ml can online from the source. Pours almost clear dark ruby amber with a loose beige cap. Aroma: caramel, berries, light dank. Light to moderate sweet & moderate bitter, the taste follows. Medium body with low carbonation. Kinda old school west coast type vibes but it doesn't quite stack up for me.
