Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a deep black brown with a huge brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, hint of dark fruits, hops, licorice. Taste is ashy, roasted malts, bitter hops, dark fruit.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Dark brown colour, tan foam head and aroma of roasty malt, fruity, earthy. Taste is sweetish, dark malt, roasty, chocolate & coffee, with fruity notes and some earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, earthy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

16/4/2022. Mini-keg bought direct from the brewery and shared with the ITFC boys ahead of what turned out to be a disappointing game against Rotherham. The keg was bb end April but had recently slightly blown at the bottom and started to leak a little so was a bit concerned the beer may have spoiled. On tapping, pint glass after pint glass poured as froth but slowly settled and we eventually got some great looking pints, opaque black with lasting frothy beige heads. Aroma was ashy, dark chocolate, light roasted malt, very mild winter spices, nut and dark fruits. Tasted super, moderate sweetness with mild milky sugars, and medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. A very good modestly abv'd warming winter (or Easter footie) stout. I was impressed. With the beer that is. Not the football. Surely they'll do better next year? The football I mean. Not the brewer.
