Near black with a short lived tan head. Aroma of oak barrel, roast, rum, dark chocolate, coffee and caramel with dark fruity notes behind. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

33cl Bottle from Vonk. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, dark chocolate, malty. Flavour is medium sweet, toffee, coffee, roasted malts, booze, bittersweet finish. Medium to full bodied. Nice classic RIS.

Bottle shared at THT August ‘19. Black with a small beige head. Aroma of roast, coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, toffee and licorice. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Sampled at THT August. Very dark brown with creamy beige head. Coffee, sweet sugary malts, earthy roast, dry cocoa beans, vanilla, old wood, dead leaves. Over medium sweet, medium bitter. Almost full bodied.

(Draught at Foeders, Amsterdam, 15 Feb 2019) Golden amber colour with lasting, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, apricots and resin. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, resin, caramel, some apricots and a sharp citric, slightly metallic, bitterness. Fairly tasty, but a bit sharp and unbalanced. Still, quite nice.

Malty, fruity taste with chocolate, coffee, cherries, red fruit and a mild roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty, but mainly chocolate and cherries. Quite nice,
