The LHG Brewpub is an independent brewery and bar in the centre of Bristol.
We opened the doors to our brewpub on 13th June 2019, with the aim to create a beating heart at the centre of our business. A place for us to engage and interact with the people who drink our beer, and shorten the distance between production and glass. Our Brewpub was crowdfunded, with 1500 people investing in our small company. We are incredibly proud to be the custodians of a site that has over 250 years of brewing history within its walls.

Tap at the LHG Brewpub, Bristol. Sampled Jan 2020. Pours very dark brown towards black with a cream head. Aroma: subtle roast, light coffee. Taste: light sweet & light to moderate bitter, dry with light roast, coffee, smoke, hoppy on the finish. Thin to medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Can at the brewery tap. Pours opaque yellow golden with a white head. Aroma: grains, straw, citrus, light floral. Taste: light to moderate sweet, grains, straw, citrus, stone fruits, melon. Medium body with soft carbonation. Nice

440ml can. Clear, very dark brown, with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, dried fruits. Taste caramel, toffee, raisins, a little chocolate, nutty and bready malts. Medium bodied. Very decent mild.

Clear pale blond beer, big aery irregular white head, unstable, falls down quickly, bit adhesive. Aroma: lovely, citrus notes, some tropical fruits, pretty floral, little soapy, bit juicy, a little dank, very nice! MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: hoppy start, but not really bitter, some melon rind, rather watery though. Aftertaste: some citrus, slightly sour, soapy notes, bit medicinal, a rather unpleasant bitterness, watery finish. A bit disappointing.

Mega walk; Shrewsbury on 11th August 2021. 1st stop was Chez Sophie. 440ml can with a BBD of 11th August 2021, so one day older than recommended! Huge foaming tan coloured head, very black body. Loads of chocolate esters and flavours tempered with calming vanilla and some hidden hop action. A little thin body wise for a flavoured Stout, but still most enjoyable.

On tap at The Made Inn Ashford. Hazy red bronze colour lasting beige head. Yep American style amber. some ok amber malt not too sweet some spiciness. Good American hops. v. drinkable my kind of amber

Panda at home, thanks to Dave, 09/07/21. Deep mahogany brown with a light beige covering that clears edgeward. Nose is dried fruit esters, toffee, leather, dark malts. Taste comprises dried fruits, cocoa powder, toffee, brown bread, light spice, dark malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent flavoursome mild.
