The LHG Brewpub is an independent brewery and bar in the centre of Bristol.
We opened the doors to our brewpub on 13th June 2019, with the aim to create a beating heart at the centre of our business. A place for us to engage and interact with the people who drink our beer, and shorten the distance between production and glass. Our Brewpub was crowdfunded, with 1500 people investing in our small company. We are incredibly proud to be the custodians of a site that has over 250 years of brewing history within its walls.

Panda 🐼 at home thanks to Wingman. A clear cola brown coloured pour with a lasting beige head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty malts, spicy dark grape, cola cubes, twiggy. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty, dried fruits, twiggy, mineral, white raisin. Palate is semi sweet, little thin, mineral, moderate carbonation.

440ml Can Sophie's Beer Store. Clear gold appearance, large frothy white head. Citrus nose. Taste of fruity floral citrus, expected more of a piney presence and I must admit I do yearn for those days where high bitterness piney west coast IPAs were the norm. But hey ho. This is fine, just feels a bit deflated.

Tap at Left Hand Giant Brewery Taproom, St Phillip, Bristol. Pours light hazed pale golden with a white cap. A decent clean & bready keller beer. Light to medium body with soft carbonation.

Can at Ebenezers, Nantwich. Pours a rich ruby red with a sizeable but transient frothy cream head. Has a delicate aroma of malts, malts and a hint of chocolate. In the mouth the dominant flavour is dark fruits, berries and some cherries plus sweet malts. Has a fairly high carbonation a first. Finish is fairly fruity. This is more my sort of beer - packs quite a punch as well.

Keg at mad Squirrel St Albans. A light hazed golden orange coloured pour with a a sticky white head. Aroma is nice floral citrus, perfume, Lychee, kiwi.. Flavour is composed of soft wheaty grains, light grassy, zesty lime, midget gems, palate is semi crisp, highish carbonation. Light grainy. Decent.
