On tap @ Zwei Brüder. Pours a touch hazy golden yellow appearance with a creamy white head. Aroma is very herbal -lots of grass and grain- with some light fruit. Medium light body. A touch of nuttiness, lemon, grass, and toast. Finishes toasty. Maybe a touch sweet. Not fucken bad.

On tap @ Zwei Bruder. Clear dark golden orange appearance with a white head. Aroma has toast, crackers, light nuttiness, and a bit of minerals. Medium light body. A bit chalky. Fairly dry. Little fruit, mostly herbal and grassy. Not bad.

On tap @ Zwei Brüder. Pours a slightly hazy yellow orange appearance with a white head. Super nice, juicy tropical fruity hops in the nose. A bunch of pineapple and mango. Soft texture. A little soapy and maybe a bit too bitter. Slightly boozy. More mango, grass, and floral notes in the mouth. Finishes a bit bitter and floral. The texture and aroma are GREAT but the rest disappoints.

On tap at Zwei Brüder. Per the bartender, this is different from their previous weizenbock. Pours a murky reddish brown appearance with a tan head. Black pepper, banana, nutmeg in the nose. Medium body. Slightly boozy. Nice carbonation. Well balanced. Caramel, light toffee, banana, slight char flavor. Finishes cleanly. Pretty good.

On tap at Zwei Brüder. Pours a reddish black appearance with a dark brown head. Char, roast, burnt sugar, some chocolate in the aroma. A little on the sweet side. A touch boozy and kind of thin. The flavor isn’t bad- chocolate, light smoke, burnt sugar. Finishes a touch twangy. Seems like it could be tweaked a bit and be pretty dang good.
LeninCat (7983) reviewed Keller Helles from Zwei Brewing 10 years ago
Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6
On tap at Zwei Brüder. Pours a bit hazy, mostly clear yellow appearance with a white head. The aroma is an explosion of candy, lime, grass, and citrus - much different from the Helles. Medium light body. Chalk, grass, herbs, aspirin in the flavor. Certainly flavorful. A bit on the sweet side. Plenty of fruit. Finishes a touch sweet. Kind of fun but I wish it weren’t so chalky.

On tap @ Zwei Brüder. Clear, dark golden orange appearance with a lasting white head. Orange, mango, light onion, tropical fruity aroma. Smells nice. Medium full body. Somewhat goopy but it’s also pretty flavorful. Some notes of candy, pineapple, and papaya. If it were a little less aggressive and sweet, I’d really love this. As it is, I still enjoy it.
