12 oz. can from H.E.B. Plus, Boerne, TX. Pours a dark cherry cola soda color with a small khaki head and poor retention. Zero lacing. Very faint caramel malt aroma, almost non-existent. Sweet caramel malt flavor. Definitely more caramel flavor than the aroma. Not much else going on. Thin, watery body. Almost enough carbonation. Zero bitterness. No bad flavors, but a bit lifeless overall. A bit disappointing.

12 oz. can from HEB in Boerne, TX. Pours a crystal clear straw yellow color with a fizzy white head and fair retention. A spot or two of lacing. Basic pale malt aroma. Weak pale malt flavor with a slightly soapy finish. Light, watery body. Medium-light carbonation. No bitterness. Underwhelming.

I had a snifter from the tap at the brewery on a recent fall evening. The view of the brew was a clear, dark gold with plenty of white foam. The scent was yeast and yellow fruit. I tasted apricots, malt, white bread, pears, white bread, a touch of hops bitterness and meadow. Decent, a shot down the middle for tripels.

I found a 12 can at the most-visited HEB in town earlier today. Chilled fully and waiting for my ABGB glass, I open the can and pour. I view a fully clear, yellow liquid with a steadily recharged, wholly white cover of foam. The scent is grain, mostly corn. The taste is mostly standard for the style, sort of corny, water, grain and white bread. I think it will be better with a lime slice. Ah, it is.

On tap at Pinthouse Pizza Lamar. Pours a dark brown with small beige head. The aroma is strong milk chocolate, roasted peanuts, toffee. Slick body, similar flavors to nose, nice sweetness, enjoyed this.
