12 oz. can, pours black with a small tan head. Nose has pungent whiskey barrels, light vanilla, and medium roast. Flavour is complex, with dark sugars, vanillin, roasted malt, and lots of whiskey barrels. Rich malts, sticky sugars, and great barrel character. Excellent.

On tap at Ravenna, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a large tan head. Nose is driven by the whiskey barrels, with big bready malt, some roast, and a touch of nuttiness. Flavour is likewise dominated by the whiskey barrels, followed by notes of butterscotch, medium roast, booze, and sweet caramel. Lots of butterscotch and whiskey pretty much. Nice stuff.

On tap at Ravenna, pours a clear dark amber/chestnut brown with a small beige head. Aroma has toasted bready malt, a touch of toffee, and hints of red berries. Flavour is very malty, a little sweeter than the usual for the style, with sweet caramel, bready malt, and red berries. Good malt depth but a touch too sweet. Good.

On tap at Ravenna, pours a clear copper/amber with a small beige head. Aroma is more malt-driven, with dry bready malt, with gentle bittering hops in back. Flavour doesn’t skimp on bitterness despite being maltier, with some bitter resinous hops and a dry bready, slightly caramely malt base. Finishes moderately bitter and dry enough. Good malty IPA.

On tap at Ravenna, pours a clear dull blonde with a small white head. Aroma has gentle melon, soft woody pine, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour reveals bright tropical fruity hops, some melon, a bit of pine from the C-hops, and a dry biscuity base. Good combo of the tropical from the Mosaic and drier woody pine from the Chinook and Centennial. Very well-made.

On tap at Ravenna, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has some juicy stone fruits, light citrus, and a bit of allium. Flavour is tangy upfront, with bright citrusy hops, low-level allium, and some pine. Finishes dry, slightly oniony and vibrant. Good hoppy pale.

Amber, bright, lots of spice, decent malt base to it, so it's reasonably balanced. It's okay.

Hazy, that bubblegummy krush thing, finishes a bit thin with onion. Just not a hop I like.

Straw colour. Medium bitterness, decent pale malt base. Clean, balanced, solid work.

Dull gold, thick head, herbal, grassy with lots of pale malt. Not really marzeny for me.
