(Draught at Protokoll, Berlin, 20 Apr 2023) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of bread, toast and caramel. Malty, roasted taste with bread, toast, caramel, raisins and a mild herbal bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Harmonious and well balanced. Very nice.

Tap at BGB. Hazy deep ruby body, off-white head. Nutty, caramelly, bit herbal, dry aroma. Very, very creamy, smooth caramelly-nutty taste, very pleasant. Not fresh (duh!), but still excellent! Hope to try it this winter!

50cl Fles van Knoblach. Volgens degene die mij dit verkocht (de oude brouwer?) is dit hetzelfde als de Helles Sommerbier. Maar mijn Duits is wellicht niet toereikend om dat met zekerheid te kunnen beweren. Goudgele kleur, witte kraag. Erg granig, grassig, redelijk wat koolzuur, licht bloemig en moutig, bitter. Lichte body. Tegenvallend na hun geweldige tapbieren.

Amber with a frothy, white head. Herbal and peppery aroma with a hint of dough. Taste is grassy bitter with soft, caramel undertones lingering at the finish. Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation. Pleasant, and refreshing on a warm day.

Van het vat bij Knoblach. Iets mistig amber kleur, witte kraag. Medium zoet, vers brood, hint van toast, mineralen, licht grassig en goed bitter, redelijk droog, broodkorst, bittere finish. Iets stroever dan de Rauschla.
