Sampled from the tap at GTMW 2022. Pours a nearly clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of herbal grass supported by grain and straw notes. Flavor has earthy straw and grain with just a hint of grass coming through.

5 oz. glass at Brookfield. Light peach nose, but not much nose beyond that. Regular amber beer color with a thin ring of foam. But oh, yes, the taste has a big sour note. Like a sour peach gummy. In fact, with each sip, I get a little more sour and a little less peach.

Taster at Imperial Oak, to compare to the Honey barrel version. Same bright brown beer with a thin ring of foam. But this has a much bigger bourbon smell that the previous one. Plenty of alcohol in the nose and on the palate. Taste has more bourbon alongside the barley malt.

5 oz glass at Imperial Oak Brookfield. Sweet smell, just a touch of honey in the nose, but it takes out any bourbon character. Bright brown color with a thin ring of foam. Definite barleywine taste, with a little extra sweetness instead of bourbon character. Though barley wine doesn't normally take to bourbon barrel aging. So there's that.

Can thanks to Josh. Pours black with large tan head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is raisin, licorice, berry, wood. Slick body, blackberry, licorice, wood, boozy finish, very good.
