Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, single to perhaps two centimeter tall tan and hazy cream head. Aroma of toasted malt, light cardboard, some graham crackers, a dose of lactose and a bunch of caramelised and pure caster sugar sweetness - quite strong in sugars in the nose. Light to Medium-bodied; Super strong chocolatey milk flavour with a lot of lactose and cream flavours right at first with a dash of nuts and earth, but then showing the alcohol, toasted malts, light grain, mellow cherry and fruit notes and the major flavours from the chocolates - mainly in terms of chocolate milk, but the cacao and milk chocolate are evident throughout. Aftertaste shows some grass and herbs with a note of nuts and chocolate mlk or pure lactose from all the sugars, but the sweetness remains up front with a soft and understated nutty finish. Overall, a nice and enjoyable beer that slightly tastes like a milkshake, but leaves some nice complexities at the tail end. I sampled this sixteen ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 18-January-2019 for US$3,49 sampled at my house in Washington on 25-February-2019.
