Thanks Brian.
This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a ruddy burnt amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off extremely quick. Not much lace.
The aroma had some sweet creamy smoothness over top of some milk chocolate and coffee grounds.
The flavor was moderately sweet through the previously mentioned aromas to blend fairly nice. Aftertaste leaned more towards the sweet side. Quick sweet finish.
The feel was about medium bodied, maybe just a touch under. Nice level of carbonation. Pretty smooth. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, pretty good brown ale, nice to try a new brewer to me.

Another one of these beers that doesn’t live up to its name or style. A double IPA with Brett and I can neither smell or taste hops or Brett. its an OK strong amber ale, but big whoop.

Not a bad fruits hour, but a little too tart for my taste. Aroma’s tart fruit, yeast, and saltines. Flavor’s a little fruity, but the sour dominates. Likewise in body and finish the acid overpowers.

Sample at NC Rare Beer Festival in Durham. Clearish amber brown color, tan head. Aroma of plums and burnt caramel. Taste is mixed dark fruit, sweet, boozy. I was hoping there was peyote in it, but no.

Bottle at home, thanks to jcnielsen. Pours a hazy bright orange appearance with a cream colored head. Aroma has booze, heavy apple and pear, vanilla, and cran apple juice. Fairly tart. Tastes like apple sauce, flowers, and spice. Twangy. Not a big fan.
