Description
After twenty years of experience in fermented drinks, I started making my personal beer in 1999. In order to fully live my passion, I decided to create my brewery in 2011 after professional training. Only with natural materials (and organic since 2017), I produce at home craft beers of recognized quality.
La Petite Brasserie Picarde, located in Grandfresnoy, ceased its production activity at the end of December 2024. The brewer, Pascal Détrez, has retired.

Bottled. Deep orangeish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, berryish, some tart wood as well as some sweet malts and mild sourness. Flavour is sour berries, wood, some tartness as well as some yeast and mild biscuity and toffeeish notes. Not sure if intended like this, or if there is somekind of evolving infection in it.

Bottled@HBF2013. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, floral and toffeeish. Flavour is fruity, caramelly and also has some tart wood and mild sour notes to it. Not sure if the sourness is intended, but it still suited the beer ok. Quite bodied for being 4.5 %.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at HBF2013) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness and Belgian style yeast. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, sourness, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Afteraste was fruity and mildly bitter. Not good Belgian ale.
