Description
Built out of an old dairy facility and originally situated next to a laundromat, Pulpit Rock Brewing opened its bay doors during the summer of '15. Founded by four Luther alumni, fueled by two head-brewers and driven by a small taproom team, this modest brewery embraces the opportunity to produce and serve exciting and innovative beers.
With a rotating tap list that balances classic styles, unabashed hop-enthusiasm and adventurous flavor-infusions, we aim to provide our guests with a spectrum of tastes and experiences.

4 oz. draft at Iowa TapRoom, Des Moines, IA. A bright yellow appearance. Aroma is HUGE simcoe pine pellets and light grass. Flavor shows a strong pine dominance. Mild grassy and pine bitterness. Really just average for me. I would be willing to try more from this brewer but not sure if or when I am returning to Iowa.

Sampled from the tap at Funk Factory. Pours a hazy ruby grapefruit with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of tart red fruits, some sour cherry and a bit of sweet wheat backing. Flavor is similar with tart red fruits throughout slightly cut by the sweet wheat note.
