Somewhat murky appearance. Aroma and flavour are a little stale. Somewhat citrusy but in general a bit stale like a warm shandy.

Bottle at home, courtesy of Benzai. Murky, unclear orange with brief, white head. Green peppers all over, with some old coffee, fried sweet potatoes, some caramel. Hope the sink enjoyed it more than me.

Really nice peaty stout. At the limit of being called an imperial stout, but really tasty! A lot of roasty flavours, chocolate, peat.

Bottle @ home. Dark brown to black colour with a small, creamy, beige head. Smells peat, fingerpaint, band-aid. Tastes sweet-ish, peat, roasty, liquorice, salmiakki. I usually wouldn't like this, but this one is pretty okay actually. Thin to medium body, soft carbo.

On tap at stadsbrouwhuis Leiden. Pours almost black, some head. Aroma is sweet and malty and very roasty. Intense roasty coffee aroma. Some chocolate. Taste is similar, not that sweet, mostly roasty. Dry finish. Quite nice.

Bottle @ home. Unclear dark brown to black color, average sized off-white to beige head. Aroma is insanely peaty, iodine and fingerpaint I used as a kid in school. Yuk. Taste malts, again heavy peat iodine and that fingerpaint. Somewhat bitter, malt bitter. Thin texture, average to decent body, low carbonation. Nothing about this beer is still a Black IPA. Absolutely not my kind of beer at all. Too bad.
