Description
Ophiussa Brewing Company is a micro brewery located in Setúbal. We’re a small team of creative minds in love with great beer. We focus on hoppy beers, fruited sours and some beloved european classics. We work hard with the ambition of one day be able to brew world class beers.

Inspired by the European classics and the modern American hop forward beers, Ophiussa Brewing Company was born in February of 2021 with the mission of brewing great beers for everyone. The production site is located in Setúbal and is equipped with a 6 hl brewhouse, 5 and 10 hl unitanks and a small canning line.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Cloudy carrot coloured, viscous with no head. Aroma of Fanta Exotic. Very sweet with medium body and cloying, viscous mouthfeel. Artificially sweeted mango puree with some citric acid. Indeed as cloying and revolting as a smoothie.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Hazy purple, small head. Aroma of blueberry pie with custard. Very sweet with medium body and clean, rounded moutheel. A total fecking mess with strawberry jam topped with artificial sweetener and cloying custard. Undrinkable drink mixer.

440ml can. Opaque yellow, no head. Aroma of mango mainly, pineapple, peach. Taste also predominantly mango but plenty of pineapple and peach too, light tart, light sour, fairly sweet. Thick full body. Really nice non-beer.

A murky hazy peach orange pulp juice with a gritty peach head. In aroma, sweet fruity mix of tart peaches, light tropical fruits, very nice and rich. In mouth, a nice peach pulp, light tropical fruits, light mango, light lactic notes, very nice. On tap at Brew Chiodo.

440ml can. Opaque orange, no head. Aroma of guava and mango, banana. Taste guava and mango purée, mild banana and strawberry hints getting a bit lost there, sweet but not cloying, light tartness. Thick full body. Lovely non-beer.

440ml can purchased as part of a delivery from Raynville Superstore and drunk at home. Light yellow-orange, hazy with a quickly dissipating head. Aroma is dominated by orange although there is also plenty of peach and passionfruit, maybe a little guava on the sides. Light milky sour taste, loads more fruit pulp, passionfruit standing out as a string flavour. Thick body with low carbonation. Definitely a tasty sour.
