Bottle. Copper colour with a small beige head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is fruity, floral, some toffee and mild toasted tones. Flavour is mild chocolate, toffee, some rye bready elements with mild floral tones too. On the sweet side of things.

Bottle. Amber colour with a mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is floral, grassy, herbal and some mild earthy tones. flavour is biscuits, mild yeast, some herbal, grassy, wheaty and citrusy tones to it. Smooth.

Bottle. Copper colour with a mediumsized off-white foamy head. Aroma is caramel, some grass, mild toffee and a bit herbal tones. Flavour is sweet grains, mild herbs, grass and some slight wooden elements with mild toast to it.

Als Stout vom Faß im Hopfenhäusla, Münchberg. - Fast schwarz. - Fein röstmalzige Nase. - Antrunk schlank röstmalzig mit schönen Röstaromen: Espresso, ein wenig Bitterschokolade, bittere Kakaobohnen, leichte Asche. Milder rezent, schlank. Im Abgang feine Hopfenherbe. - Sehr rundes aber keineswegs blasses Stout, elegant röstmalzig und enorm süffig. Prima! (23.9.2022.)

Als Festbier vom Faß im Hopfenhäusla, Münchberg. - Kupfergold, leicht trüb. - Nase schön karamellig-toastmalzig und fein hopfenwürzig herb. - Antrunk sauber und tief karamellig-toastmalzig mit schöner Bonbonsüße. Nicht zu kräftige aber solide, hintergründige fränkische Hopfenherbe, hopfenwürzig und mit herber Orangenschale. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang gute Hopfenbittere, die anfangs ein wenig aromenleer wirkt. - Solides, satt malziges Märzen mit nicht zu knapper fränkischer Hopfung, die erst im Laufe des Abends ihre Aromen entfaltet. 50cl bottle. A clear amber beer with a mid-sized good lasting off-white head. Aroma of mild herbal and flower hops, biscuit malt. Taste of dry biscuit malt, some nuts, grains, moderate bitterness, low carbonation.

500ml Bottle - Golden with a foamy head. Grassy aroma with notes of lime and a hint of green tea. Grassy taste with hay, lime, tea detected followed by a relatively dry finish. Easy to drink.

Schnapp-Fläschla (Danke Martin!!!): Deep chestnut-amber coloured, unclear, mid-sized creamy off-white head, moderate sweet-malty, caramelly and sweet-fruity aroma, astonishingly delicate herbal-hoppy background, a light acidity - presumably first sign of an infection - is already detectable; moderate to solid sweet and mildly bitter flavour, quite full bodied, not overly soft; shorter sweet malty and herbal hoppy finish. Not bad, just a bit too sweet and therefore quite disappointing by Franconian standards...

Hopfenhäusla Dunkler Bock, Flasche per Post vom Landbierparadies (MHD: 07.02.21). - Schwarzbraun, klar; üppiger beigefarbener Schaum. - In der Nase fettes, süßes dunkles Malz, Mokka und hintergründige Hopfenherbe mit Moos und ätherischen Kräutern. - Antrunk satt und weich dunkelmalzig mit feiner Röstmalzigkeit, Bitterschokolade, Lakritz und frischer Fruchtnote (Kirschsaft). Weiche Süße (Traubenzucker) und zarte Säure. Milder rezent, vollmundig, hefeweich; perfekt kaschierter Alkohol. Im Abgang nur milde herbale Hopfenherbe. - Weicher, runder dunkler Bock, vielschichtig malzig, sehr süß, nur sparsam gehopft und vielleicht schon leise angeknabbert von unerwünschter Säurebildung. Ich vermisse die solide Hopfengrundierung, die man gerade bei dieser Brauerei zu erwarten geneigt ist. Dennoch ein schönes, individuelles Bier. (19.12.2020.)
