From a 500ml can on 7/4/2021. Pours a cloudy golden with a medium head.Has a light tropical and citrus nose with a touch of grass. Tastes quite citrussy up front with lots of mandarin and tangerine, a hint of lime, and some pineapple and passionfruit in the background. Finishes with a moderate tangy citrus bitterness. Medium bodied with light but slightly fizzy carbonation. Quite distinctive and comes together rather nicely.

Can. Opaque dull orange with a good cm of white head. Rather vague and shy aroma with some earth and grass, modest citrus. After that underwhelming start, things really pop: juicy oranges, some lime, grass, pulpy pineapple over light bread. Then quite subtle pine creeps in as it dries out slightly with distinct bitterness.

Can. Almost opaque orange with a cm of white head. Aroma of oranges, lemon, grapefruit, honeydew melon - lots of Citra, which I love. Sweet with chewed crackery malt, lots of citrus. Softness is undermined a bit by some burning astringency towards a finish that's otherwise peppery and moderately bitter.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Black brown colour with reddish tinge, brown foamy head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of roasty malt, coffee, dark chocolate, dried fruits, nutty. Taste is sweetish, roasted malt, powdered chocolate, molasses, coffee, earthy and boozy, with some nutty bitterness. Oily mouthfeel, full bodied, soft carbonation, drying roasty bitter finish. Very drinkable, nicely sippable.

8/2/2021. Can courtesy of Michael. My Aussie beer #100. Brewery #3700. Pours thick and black with a small dark tan coloured head. Aroma is rich coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt, carob, nut and liquorice. Moderately sweet with deep roasted bitterness. Full bodied, slick, very low carbonation. Super sipper/warmer on a snow-bound winters evening. It's a beaut!

Can. Very pale gold with a large white head that fades quickly to a good inch then gradually. Aroma of grapefruit, lemon syllabub, crackers, white pepper. Light bodied but there's just a hint of malty richness there before a cheerful roar of citrus leads to a dryish and moderately bitter finish. Hops are very American but the approach owes a bit to NZ lagers. This is good.

Canned 15 Jan. Pale gold with a modest white head. Aroma of citrus and candied citrus - lemon, grapefruit, oranges. The aroma is nice enough but the taste is more vibrant with a burst of various citrus fruit, some tropical fruit before fairly subtle pine and really only moderately high bitterness nonetheless grips because the finish is dry. Not terribly complex but just does it really well. That this is my favourite Mr Banks so far probably just says I'm old.

A disappointing WCIPA that lacks bite and doesn't make up for it with a particularly interesting flavour. Aromas of pine and lemon lead into a nice full body with an inoffensive pine taste. Sudsy and full, the palate is probably the best thing about this beer.

Can. Pours opaque orange. Orange and passionfruit nose. Certainyl hoppy and juicy, but with surprising minerality. Also thin in mouth relative to appearance. Almost a 'gateway hazy'.

500ml can. Pours like orange juice. Smells like orange juice. Tastes like orange juice with a nice hop kick in the back end. So very fluffy in the mouth. En pointe for sure.
