0.3 l bottle from 'Beer Republic', apparently bottled/brewed in September 2020, cellared for more than a year. Clear, very dark ruby with a few beige bubbles on top of it. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity aroma of port, candied cherry, plum, marzipan, vanilla and raisins. Rather sweet, malty, slightly bitter, gently fruity taste of port, marzipan, candied cherry, vanilla, coconut, plum and raisins, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly warming finish. Full body, smooth and oily mouthfeel, almost flat. Great beer, very complex, surely not your average Doppelbock. Feels very soft and velvety, already shows some pleasant signs of oxidation. Need to find another Samichlaus variant for next year now.

Pours a bit unclear amber. no real head. Scent is funky, old wood, ripe raspberry. Quite funky, which is surprisingly complex. Taste is fairly dry, starts of quite low in acidity, but it builds up. Mature raspberry. Fairly intense, lovely. Very low to no carbo. Medium body.

Pours unclear amber, small white head. Scent is complex, fine. Rich, fruity, orange like. Tad tropical. Taste is mild, even hiding the tartness. Intense fruitjuice, orange like, but a bit ..unfresh tasting to me. OK.

Draught @ Bier Vila. Hazy and light amber. Thick head. Aroma is floral, hoppyish, lots of malts. Quite sweet but balanced. Good bitterness, and a hint of chewy malt and berryish hop.

Draught, Bier Vila. Hazy amber. Aroma is a bit fruity, a bit oxidized, the palate is a bit chewy but still has some berryish freshness.
