Can from Liquor Junction, Reading. Deeply hazy gold, tons of sparkle, thin fizzy head after aggressive pour, good retention, copious soapy lacing. Aroma is more chai than winter spice--but they are almost interchangeable--over mellow background ale. Taste resembles aroma but allspice more prevalent than cinnamon/vanilla. Smooth texture, average carbonation, dry finish as taste. Not as complex as the chais I like. Too much allspice/winter warmer here. Decent but don't love it.

16 oz can. Aqua blue in color. Aroma shows me guava fruit and soft lime peel. Flavor follows with a soft lime finish. Moderate lime character with a very faint hint of acid. This actually would go well with rich cheeses or fatty meat dinners.

Can from Greg & Jane's Beer and Wine. Opaque dark yellow with nice sparkle, ample head with excellent retention and tons of soapy lacing. Aroma is mix of berry, grape and apricot over hint of herb. Taste follows aroma, sans herb and with bready malt. Smooth, thick texture, medium bodied with soft carbonation and finish as taste. Slightest of pleasant alcohol warmth in the esophagus well after the sip. This hop combination produces something pretty unique (addition of Alora?). Virtually no sign of alcohol and no aversive sign. Really nice.

Can from Greg & Jane's Beer and Wine. Lightly hazy, root-beer brown, nice sparkle, huge head with good retention and spotty lacing. Aroma is strong toffee, brown bread. Taste follows aroma along with late fig. Smooth texture, thin bodied, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Love their IPA's and glad to have a different style. That said, not the same level as their IPA's.

Pours clear pee yellow into a stein. Bright white head with excellent retention craters and recedes leaving sheet lacing. Hay and citrus aromas. Soft with sweet with meadow and hay upfront turning to sourdough and citrus in the medium length finish. Finish becomes hot and cloying as it warms.
