Bottle on the 1856 Brussels - St Pancras, 374025 & 026, 11/06/18. Small haze on a light golden blonde pour with a decent off white covering. Nose is sweet malts, dried fruits, marzipan, sugary, dates, stewed prunes, light varnish. Taste comprises sweet fruit esters, light booze, caramel, sugar, fruit cake. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with warming alcohol. A touch harsh and sweet at the same time. Sub par affair.

Bottle on the 1856 Brussels - St Pancras, 374025 & 026, 11/06/18. Hazed pale golden blonde with a moderate off white covering. Nose is lIght spice, lemon peel, white peppery spice, stale bread, faint perfume. Taste comprises lemon peel, herbal notes, papery notes, grains, aspartamic tang, faint herbals. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Supposed to be a wit I imagine ... pretty pap.

Bottle on the 1856 Brussels - St Pancras, 374025 & 026, 11/06/18. IPA with a best before of April 2021 ... these guys know their shit! Almost clear golden to light amber with a decent off white cap. Nose is orange peel, caramel malts, sweet exhaust, trace of pine, old skool tunes, floral notes. Taste comprises orange peel, caramel, sweet malts, toasted grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with moderate hop bitterness. Old skool leaning IPA ... too sweet and low end for style but better than the last couple of Belgian pap we just drank. Wish I'd picked up another to drink in early 2021 though!

15th May 2018, a beautiful sunny afternoon in Brugge. My wife and I had a few beers in the rear garden area of the bottle shop 'Bier Paleis', a 33cl bottle shaped can of this was my first of the mini session. Clear, light golden pour, snow white topping. Aroma had a herbal yeasty front with some mild fruity hop notes. The taste followed the same lines, with a slight bitterness to the overall flavour. Nice in the sun.

Bottle. Hazy pale golden color with white head. Aroma is farty, cardboard. Taste is cardboard, tart, weird unripe berries. Watery mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Not convincing.
