(bottle) Clear but deep golden colour with a medium white froth. Strong malty nose with traces of bread, fruits (grapefruit) and a hint of alcohol. Sweetbitter malty flavour, medium body. Malty taste.from the start to the finish with a well-blended hoppy bitterness. A quaffable moravian Pilsener.

Pour is a apple cider look alike. Aroma is very sugary and sweet. Flavor is sweet and candy like. Its almost like drinking a sweet wine. Could use more hops but I will deffinatly say its different. Nothing really wrong with this but I was hoping for more of a hop bite to it.

Cherryish chestnut colour with a quicky dissipating head. Toasty, nutty aroma but hints at some unpleasantness. Malty palate with earthy-toffeeish flavours. Thin and thick at the same time- lots of unfermented sugars but maybe not enough lagering time to bring them all together into a cohesive unit. Hint of nuttiness. Sweet, earthy finish. Good, but not great example of Czech tmavy.

Pours a very nice deep yellow. Aroma on mine was skunky but not overpowering. Flavor come in two parts. First you get a nice crisp abd citrusy mouthfeel. Second is the after taste, a bit watery and bland. Kind tastes like wet paper as it goes down.

The aroma is dominated by straw and is somewhat sour. The color is dark yellow and it has a small but fast disappearing white head. The flavor is malty with strong notes of straw and grain and a rather hoppy end while the sweetness lingers and turns almost to caramel. A below average pilsener.

This looks better than it tastes. All appearances are of a light Pilsner despite the "Bock" on the label. Taste and mouth feel are a Pilsner also, in fact this is a little thin. Not bad, not great.

Crystal golden colour with absolutely no head. Aroma of light sugar, malt, a bit of hops and some fruity qualities. Light-bodied; Sweet fruity taste with a nice malt backbone and a bit of sugars. Aftertaste clean and almost a sweetness resides on the palate. Overall, a very nice beer-definately threw me off-guard-THANKS DAD! I sampled this 12 ounce bottle purchased from The Brickskellar in Washington, D.C. on 26-December-2003.
