draught in a little pivnice in Tynska, just off Staromestske namesti, Prague. What a surprise to find this in the touzrist heart of the city. Dark brown colour, creamy beige head. Malty with chocolate, caramel, roasetd malts and a touch of coffee. Smooth palate. Well crafted dark Czech lager.

Tap at RJ. Aroma suggests typical Czech dark and caramel malts. Fruity, caramel. And unfortunately loads of diacetyl. Rather clear dark colour, stable beige head. Taste has double load of diacetyl with light complementary caramel. Overall poor, even the finish and drinkability are severely impaired by the diacetyl.

Tap at RJ. Aroma green apples. Other than that clean pilsner. Clear golden colour, stable white head. Taste is classic, pilsner malt, hops. Light stale off-flavour. Thin bodied, watery mouthfeel, low carbonation. Good classic pilsner.
