Six generations of farming have given us a unique insight into British food production. The highest standards of animal welfare and environmental care show in our milk and meat products. We demand those same high standards from everyone whose produce we stock.
In more recent years, Mr Pile set up the cider business, collecting cider from small farms all over the west country to sell at Middle Farm.

BIAB Sample from 29th Sussex Beer & Cider Festival Brighton, courtesy of Grumbo. Cheers Graham! Slightly hazy golden colour, no head and aroma of formic acid, cedar wood, some apple. Taste is tart apple then very astringent and drying, wood, with formic acid, cedar, oak barrel, sawdust. Medium bodied, low carbonation, very dry tart & woody finish. Just too astringent for me.

Draft at GBBF 2013, day 3 - London. Pours hazy yellow with a few bubbles on the rim. Rotten apple and whisky in the aroma. Light-medium sweet falvor with dried apples, light spice, must. Light to medium bodied, soft. Finishes with underripe apples, lots of musty dryness. So so, but drinks well enough given its strength.

@GBBF2011. Golden colour, small head. Aroma is apples, spices, sweet nectary notes as well as honey. Flavour is apples, and a very sweet stingy burning alcoholic tone to it. Mild spicyness and nectar to be notes as well. Way too alcoholic burning to be nice.
