330ml bottle from M&S Shrewsbury. Pours a hazy reddish orange with thin creamy head. Prickly pine aroma. Taste is definitely in the hoppy camp with grapefruit, lime, pineapple & orange peel all vying for your attention. Tasty.

330ml bottle from my local Marks & Sparks: poured into Chimay chalice on the patio 15th June 2015 and second bottle of the day from these guys. I thought this marginally better than the Rye Pale Ale. Misty orange body with a wispy top, hops rule the nose and taste with a cool bitterness over riding every and anything else. Been back from Southern California a week now, this reminded me of the style so common out there: not as harsh in it’s bitterness but getting there and most enjoyable.

330ml bottle from my local Marks & Sparks: poured into bright sunshine and a Leffe chalice on my patio on 15th June 2015. Slight haze to the body, white head and lacing. Pleasant bitterness to the hop front and aroma, herbal like in taste with the hops ruling the flavours mostly (I think) although the fruity feel could have come from the malts I suppose. I liked it, the sunny afternoon helped, as did the cheese and salted biscuits I had with the beer.

Bottle 330ml (Utobeer). Dark brown color, small brownish head. Strange fermenting gas aroma, some toasted notes. Medium-bodied. Coffeish, and harsh bitterish flavor. Not very balanced.

Cask at the Falcon, Clapham Junction. A slightly hazy straw colour with a tight white head; grainy lemon aroma; grainy body with a fragrant lemony citrus taste; and a clean citrus bitterness to finish.

On cask @ the Haymarket. Appearance - pale golden with a proportionate head. Nose - lemon pith, light vegetal. Taste - more citrus pith and hop resin. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - good session ipa.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Black with an off-white creamy head. A floral-heavy stout with a light roasted malt that’s more pronounced in its aftertaste than anywhere else.

Cask at the Hack and Hop - London. Pours clear gold with a frothy, white head. The aroma holds grassy hopsc pithy citrus, rind, grapefruit, minerals. Light sweet flavor with forward rindy hitterness, dry pale malts, lemon rind and grain husk. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Finishes with some further rind, slight resin, pith, pale bread, tangerine, grass, straw. Nice stuff.
