330ml bottle from beer hive. Pours dark brown, thin beige head. Aromas of wood, ash, charcoal, pine and burnt orange. Taste is bitter, almost cheesy with hops, more charcoal notes. Quite challenging, could be smoother.

Cask @ The Grapes, Liverpool. Golden with a thin frothy head. There’s some very small toffee notes in this crisp for its strength ale, whilst remaining fuller bodied.

Cask @ Bier, Liverpool city centre. Clear pale gold with a small creamy head. Clearly strong, but not strong tasting with a smooth texture exemplified by its rye and pale malts in both its aroma and taste - exuding a light berry sweetness along the way.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Dark brown body with a thick tan head. Nice lacing. Aroma of wood, toffee apple and blood orange. Flavour of pine needles, more blood orange and roasted malts. Good bitterness. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Very hoppy and raw. Great beer.

Keg at CASC, Aberdeen. It pours cloudy golden with a decent white head. The nose is juicy, doughy, brioche, orange citrus, light spice and earth. The tasre is crisp, bitter, earth, barnyard, sweet doughy, light alcohol, toasty grass/hay and some zesty citrus with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Good punchy bitterness to it. The balance works well for me. Pretty drinkable gear.
