Cask-conditioned at the Lime Kiln, Bristol 23/12/2015. Hazy, pale, amber with a frothy, white, head. Tart, citrus fruit and grassy hop aroma with some orange sweetness. Flavour was dominated by spicy rye malts, accompanied by more fruit leading to a finish with a sour edge. Ok.

Bottle from M&S Westfield Stratford and drunk at home. Clear amber colour lasting ivory head. Clean fresh hop aroma. Now that’s a good IPA. Some biscuit on the malts, then a satisfying hoppy flavour that reminds me of raspberry and grapefruit at the same time. Exquisitely fresh, tasty and decently satisfying. Some bitterness on the finish. Some pippy raspberry. Leafy. A beautiful beer. Genuinely impressed.

Keg at BD Sheps Bush, 02/11/15. Lightly hazed orange amber with a decent off white head that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is citric sherbets, light pine, tangerine, toasted bread, bitter orange, red grapefruit. Taste comprises pine needle, toasted malt, light spice, mineral tones, bitter tropical whisper. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent hoppy amber.

Keg at the Pint Shop, Cambridge. Dark gold, a bit hazy, with a film of white head. Juicy Asian pear and a bit of pine on the nose. Bittersweet taste, nicely balanced but not particularly engaging. More orchard fruit bitterness on the finish. Enjoyable without breaking any records.
