Ridiculously hazy golden and raw honey coloured body with a thick, two to three centimetre tall that fades a bit slowly, all on top of the ninety per cent opaque glowing body. Aroma of deep yeast, dough, bread, alcohol, oranges and tangerines with a dry scent and a slight astrigent bit in the nose as well. Medium to Full-bodied; Rich, deep malty and pungent resinous and grapefruity properties that show a lot of bitterness and alpha acids with a crisp, dry and herbal quality towards the end with a light fruit-based sweetness at the finish. Aftertaste is rich, dry, slightly floral, but always hoppy and bitter, in a good way. Overall, this is a nice, almost Imperial, sort of New England, definitely unfiltered, dry and slightly fruity old school IPA with a lot of bitterness and solid complexity. Good to sample and nice if you like drier Imperialish IPAs that just happen to be unfiltered. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Chelsea), New York on 21-December-2020 for US$4,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 19-January-2021.

Ever so slightly hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish, pure white head that fades fairly quickly and leaves a slight lace on the side of the glass. Aroma of deep robust alcohol, rich grain and metallic notes with a slight citrus and piney, resinous bite, especially near the end of the nose. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong rich malty bite with some lemons, grapefruit and even deeper citrus like kumquats and tangerines with a dose of bright hops noticeable along with some pungent alcohol and a dose of bright sweetness that does show some lighter candy-like notes. Aftertaste shows some grain, a heavy hand of metallic and alcohol pungency with a small sweetness, mainly from the citrus fruits, but also from some of the residual candy-like notes that show through towards the end. Overall, a nice and robust IPA with a lot of citrus fruits and a smooth, but balanced profile that shows nicely, especially for the style. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Bryant Park, 42nd St), New York on 20-December-2020 for US$4,99 sampled in my hotel room here in New York, New York on 20-December-2020 a few minutes later.

Bottle from the source: pours dull clear red with small head. Aroma is raspberries, barrel, some funk. Taste is woody, corky, somewhat but not too sour, barrel is very notable.
