buscuit malt, marmalade with a touch of pine. Firm bitterness, clean. Simple, straightforward and balanced. It’s perfectly fine

Poured from 500mL bottle. Very dark brown with minimal beige head. Woody whiskey barrel, some chocolate, not a ton of depth, but okay.

500mL bottle. Pours black with almost no head. Aroma has lightly roasted malt, espresso, whiskey. Flavour has roasted malt and a solid whiskey profile. Very liquor-forward, but well-done and enjoyable.

Dark brown, no head. Medium nuttiness on the nose, a good spirit quality, sort of whiskeyish. On the palate, with a soft body, and the spirit comes in. It's a bit rounded, not bad, though the barrel isn't the greatest. Still, it comes together fairly well. I'd say the body is lighter than many top examples, but the base and treatment work well enough together.

500mL bottle, pours jet black with a tiny tan head. Aroma has plenty of whiskey barrels, medium roast, and a hint of cocoa. Flavour is light-to-medium bodied for an impie, with lots of boozy whiskey, dark sugars, molasses, and booze. Very boozy and hot, but has a nice smooth, oily malt character. Good but not refined.

Draught @ George Keeley, Manhattan (June 2024). Clear golden with a creamy off-white head, orangey aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter orange peel, floral hops, lightly piney, smooth thin body, long medium bitter finish. Smooth and floral.

Bottle split at Craft Beer Junction, thanks to Tips 18/10/23. Black with a khaki head that thins to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, mellow bourbon, caramel fudge, dried fruit rinds, dark malts. Taste comprises roast malts, cocoa sprinkle, toffee, bourbon nip, light spice. Full bodied, light oily feel, semi drying close with a balanced boost offered. Not bad.

can. mild flowery aroma that also have grapes in the aroma, green white wine grapes if I should gueess. The hops and the grapes make the aroma more IPA like than sour/wild like. practically no brett or the like in the aroma, not very wild. But quite fairly okay nevertheless. As with many sours, aroma is not sour, but flavor is. Sourness here is a very gentle wild ale sourness with a lot of wine grapes added and also with quite a distinct US hoppy layer to the flavors. There is some subtle wildness going on in the flavor, but it stays very clean. This is sort of a bit like a sour IPA if that is a style. Tasty and refreshing, and if you want some more agressive hops with your sour, you might like this one.
