Can from San Mateo. Beautiful clear plight gold with large, fully sustained head. Aroma of grapefruit and slight dank. Flavor is moderate citrus, faint grapefruit and spicy esters. Sweet finish of light grain. Not so much a throwback as an easy drinking, solid beer.

Can from Total Wine & More, W. Hollywood. Lightly hazy gold, trace sparkle, ample head (w/aggressive pour) w/fair retention, trace lacing. Aroma is caramel malts, molasses, slight butterscotch, and cereal grains. Taste is strong molasses, caramel, bread crust, straw, nuts, cereal grains. Smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and sweet finish as taste. Usually, I find offerings in this style to be pretty boring. Have to give this credit for both complexity and strength. All with four ingredients--bravo!

Draught in San Mateo. Massive treacle on the aroma!! Flavor is peaty. Chocolate finish. Overt oicorice. Man, this is really disjointed to me. Tough one for me when I normally love to is each year.
