Description
Yet another game-changer in the history of Mikkeller, the opening of Baghaven marked the moment when – finally – spontaneously fermented sour beer was made using local terroir. Importing skilled American brewer Ehren Schmidt to head up operations at Baghaven helped establish the foundation for a location that would fuse tradition with cutting-edge innovation.

Bottle, 0.75l, shared with Sima, David, Pier @ nonna Rosa. Aroma is yeasty, vinous, stone fruity and funky. Pours dirty orange color with thick creamy off-white head and good lacing. Taste starts refreshing tart vinous and citrusy with passion fruit note, following is yeasty, floral, stone fruity and funky with smooth mouthfeel. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Working class hero…

75 cl clear glass bottle. Vintage 2020. Dark burgundy colour with a few pink bubbles on top. Tart fruity aroma with raspberry, blackberries, wooden notes, lemons, and spicy hints. The taste is sour. Medium to full body. Dry, wooden finish with red berries. Excellent, a worthy substitute for a dry red wine.
