Danish wild ale with apricots.
Beautiful Bergeron apricots from France were macerated on a blend of Danish Wild Ales ranging from 1 to 3 years old, with a majority of the blend being 1.5 years old.
The unique bouquet contributed by these wonderful apricots pairs perfectly with the earthy, deep complexity brought by the Danish Wild Ale.

Tap @ Mikkeller Paris. Pours a misty gold, thin white sheet atop. Aroma brings soft apricot and a wild air. First sip brings a sharp acidic hit which lingers before the underlying apricot notes eventually get a look-in, settling in on the finish as the bretty acidicity subsides. A bit heavy handed and unbalanced, but a sour-head will keel to its charm.

75cl Fles, dank Harmen! Mistig gouden kleur, witte kraag.

(Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Berlin, 15 Aug 2024) Cloudy golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity, funky nose with notes of vinegar, apricots, peaches and oak wood. Fruity, tart taste with apricots, peaches, oak wood, lemon and vinegar. No bitterness. Medium body, dry. Quite tart and funky with a woody/vinegar acidity and a rich apricot character. Very nice.
