Built on a desire to craft no-nonsense cider, PULP Cider smashes their apples the right way. Caring for their orchards for over a century, they take their families traditional skills and use them alongside modern techniques, coupled with a team of expert cider makers, they are pretty proud of what they craft.
They might not take themselves too seriously but PULP Cider are very serious about their craft!
The fresh-faced modern cider range already has an international customer base, their bright branding and bold attitude is a refreshing sight.
Made from Herefordshire Cider apples grown on the Wyer Croft estate, these delicious drops are a true premium craft cider offering. Established in 2014 for the festival market, the brand returned to its roots, knuckled down and released a range of bottles, cans and kegs during 2020.
Formerly produced at Real Cider in Hebden Bridge.

BIAB at Egglescliffe Beer Festival, 29th March 2024. Golden colour, afew bubbles on top and aroma of peach, lime, mojito cocktail. Taste is sweet, caramel, peach, lime, rum hint, sugary. Medium bodied, low carbonation, sweet finish with some lime. OK.

BIAB at Egglescliffe Beer Festival, 29th March 2024. Yellow gold colour, thin white foam head and aroma of pineapple & cherry. Taste is sweet, pineapple, fruity, with some cherry notes and fleshy acidity. Medium bodied, low carbonation, sweet pineapple at the finish. Ok, quite sweet

500ml bottle. Pours clear pale gold. Aroma: sweet apple. Taste: moderate sweet with low bitterness, light tannins. Very flavoursome. Light to medium body.

Keg at the Handsome Snuff Bar, Kendal. Gold-coloured with a hint of fizz. Light rhubarb taste with a bit of baked apple. Crisp and refreshing. Pleasant, but then I do always seem to like rhubarb ciders.

28/9/2023. Draught pour shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours close to clear very pale pinkish gold with a few bubbles. Aroma of fresh strawberry, rhubarb, sweet sugars. Quite heavy sweetness, touch of tart. Light body, slightly oily, low carbonation.

Draught at York Tap. Clear pinkish golden colour, thin white rim and aroma of strawberry, rhubarb. Taste is sweet, strawberry, rhubarb, sugary, alittle citric acidity. Medium bodied, low carbonation, sweet berry finish. OK

Cask at the Wagon and Horses, Stourbridge. Pours pinky red with no carbonation. Taste is super sweet strawberry and apple. Taste is much the same, sweet strawberry and apple.
Bit like weak apple squash.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Clear pink colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of berry, juniper, spices, apple. Taste is sweet, berries, fruity, juniper, apple, fleshy, with some floral and spice notes. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium sweet finish. Quite drinkable.

16/6/2023. From BIAB at the 18th Braintree Real Ale Festival. Pours clear dark pink with a small bubbly/frothy off-white pinkish head. Aroma of berries, juniper, apple, almond, spice, mulled notes. Quite sweet, with a tart edge. Moderate body, slightly watery, low carbonation. Sweet drying finish. Quite okay.
