Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - fuzzy dark brown to black coloured pour with a beige head. Roasted malty and prominent hoppy, dark citrus fruity, pine needles, some caramel, cocoa, roasted hoppy finish.

Superficial festival rating at DØE - Ølfestival København 2017. Dark brown, almost black body with a small, lasting beige head. Aroma is roasted dark malt, chocolate and some caramel. Flavor is sweet, roasted dark malt, strong dark chocolate, some caramel and good, mostly fruity bitterness. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste of chocolate end fruity bitterness. A fine beer, but too much roast and little pine to be a BIPA in my book. Could as well be an imperial brown ale, but a fine brew anyway.

Tap@Fermentoren, Copenhagen (09/05/2017) - black pour with tan head. Roasted and sweet malty with liquorice and chocolate, some caramel, dry roasted and sweet malty into the close.

Sample @ [ DØE - Ølfestival København 2017 ] @ Lokomotivværkstedet, Otto Busses Vej 5A, 2450 Copenhagen SV, Denmark. [ As SPYBREW Flames From Hell V.2 ].Murky medium orange colour with virtually no head. Aroma is salamin, spicy, chili, vegetables. Flavor is hot hot chili with a very very long long duration, hot hot chili - burn !! Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. So burning that ½ a hour later it still burns !! [20170519] 2-2-1-2-1

Superficial festival rating at DØE - Ølfestival København 2017. Slightly hazy, deep orange body with a diminishing off-white head. Weak malty aroma with brown sugar. Flavor is quite sweet caramel malt, bread and sugar. Medium body and sweet aftertaste. Kvass is not my favorite style at all, but I was a bit curious to dry this interpretation of this style. I actually don’t reminds me so much of the few other Kvass I have sampled, but at least it’s sweet, breadish and low in alcohol.

[ As SPYBREW Holmén DIPA ].Murky matt medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate hoppy, citrus, fruity hops, tropical fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, tropical fruit, fruity hops, citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20170518] 8-2-8-3-16
