Rating Iesala Dzeriens Tumšais (Dark), but there are 3 variations of it, guess they all are similar though. Smell- weak to medium, malt, caramel, bit of bread soup, interesting. Foam- thin, bit to watery side, some sweetness, caramel and bread notes. Medium large, but goes away quite quick, brown, orange white color. Appearance- hazy, dark, drown, orange and bit of amber mass. Taste- sweetness, malt, caramel, aftertaste is malt and caramel again Decent kvass.

Smell- blackcurrant juice or jam, alcohol, balsam, weak to medium strong. Foam- thin, bit to watery side, not too soft, blackcurrant juice feel and alcohol feel. Does feel a bit similar as one my grandma made... Medium pink, purple foam. Appearance- clear, dark red with some brown, no carbonation. Taste- blackcurrant, alcohol, sweetness, Feels a lot like blackcurrant juice drink my grandma made, but with alcohol tones and bit less intense blackcurrant. Drinkable.

Smell- medium strong, malt, bread, well like kvass... Foam- thin, bit to watery side, some sweetness, some bread some malt. Medium to small foam, brown, white. Appearance- almost clear, medium dark, brown, orange amber. Taste- acidic, citrus, bread, malt, sweetness. Well, feels too acidic for me somehow...

second and last beer for today... Smell- weak, weak honey, weak cranberry, cranberry bit stronger. Foam- thin, not watery,soft, cranberry and sourness around but some sweetness too. Medium pink foam, looks a bit like cotton candy. Appearance- almost clear, medium dark, red, cranberry color,at start some carbonation bubbles, but not they are gone. Taste- cranberry, sour, sweet, bit pulling, well its cranberry not too big fan of that, some weak, weak honey there, will not buy again, but generally what I expected, would love for it to be bit more sweet.Aroma gets bit stronger later.;

Re-rated, a quick one. From plastic bottle. Smell-weak, honey, sweet, acidic. Foam- thin, sweet, sugary, honey. Head is small to medium, white color. Appearance- simple label, generic cap. Clear, orange-brown color, no carbonation. From - pint Taste- sweet, sugary, honey. Honey beer is supposed to be sweet and honey ish. There are some bitter tones at the back. I think it should taste like that and I am basing my score on that. Not for every day though. Old score: 6/3/7/3/14=3,3 Rating Iļģuciema medalus orģinālais - its 5.5% alcohol instead. Updated rating after checklist. Aroma - bread, sweet, honey, some acidic feel, bread, medium strong. Foam - thin, bit to the watery side, half soft, acidic bittersweet to sides of the tongue. Medium to small creamy white color. Maybe bit too sweet, buts its honey beer after all. Appearance - clear medium-dark amber, maybe little haziness, some carbonation. Taste - sweet, honey, sweet aftertaste, some biting honey afternotes, maybe even too sweet. Bit acidic. Some kvass notes and some bread notes. In general tastes like sweet honey kvass, not bad, but could be better. Like the honey aftertaste. I actually I like it.

Bottle.Clear Brown colour with small head.Aroma is sweet of berries and caramel,mild fruity and toasted with light body and sweet finish.

Bottle, thanks marduk. Pours amber. Aroma is vegetable and caramel. Flavor is sweet and bitter, malt, vegetables, caramel. Overall: not good.

0.33 l bottle from 'Alkoholfreishop.de', best before November 2019. Almost clear, ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, malty, bready and slightly fruity aroma of caramel, rye, toasted grains, nuts and some raisins. Quite sweet, malty, bready and gently fruity taste of caramel, nuts, burnt sugar, raisins and rye, followed by a short, sweetish finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Fairly sweet but drinkable.
