1,5L bottle (as Tanheiser Kvass Originaal). Pours copper-brown with small light brown head. The head stays for a moment. Aroma is sweet, malt extract, some fruity notes, burnt sugar. Flavor is sweet, malt extract, some sour notes, fruity notes, honey. Finish is sour-malty-sweet. Carbonation is rather high. Overall: too sweet and sticky, but I would take this over some crappy alcohol free beer any day.

1,5 l bottle at the legendary Anker Hostel kvass rating session 2014. Dark brown body with a small, fast disappearing off-white head. Relatively strong aroma of mild roasted malt, caramel and citric acid with less rye bread than the previous sampled kvass from the same brewery. Flavor is really sweet sticky malt, almost like soda pop with root beer and some lemon. No bitterness. Thin body and sweet in aftertaste. Not really my thing.

1,5 l bottle at the legendary Anker Hostel kvass rating session 2014. Murky deep orange body practically without any head. Aroma is rye bread, malt syrup and some lemon. Flavor is sticky sweet malt syrup, rye bread, lemon and no bitterness. A bit thin body and sweet aftertaste. I really have my doubt if Kvass is the thing for me, way too sweet.

1,5 l bottle at the legendary Anker Hostel kvass rating session 2014. Slightly unclear dark brown body with a thin film of off-white foam. Aroma is mainly rye bread and malt. Flavor is sweet malt, rye bread with a hint of lemon and no really bitterness. Medium body and way too sweet aftertaste. Interesting to taste but more than a few sips becomes too sweet for me. Suspect there got to be more interesting versions off Kvass out there somewhere.
