Bottle 1500ml @ Hostel room - Anker Hostel, Oslo
Pours clear brown with a short lived small off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, rye bread, wort, grain, hay, brown sugar and syrup. Taste is medium sweet and light sour with a rye bread and citrus sour finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 1.5ltr, at Anker Hostel kvass rating session 2014. It’s a hazy golden to brown drink with just a thin ring og light beige bubbles. The aroma is quite sweetish, with some dark rye bread, lemon, dried fruits and hay. It’s quite flat and thin on the palate, with rye bread, wort, sugar and too much lemon.sweet finish with lemon and sried fruits. Well, way too sweet this one, definitely not my kind of beer. 140503

Bottle, 1.5ltr, at the Anker Hostel kvass rating session 2014. It pours a reddish brown body and a minimal sized off-white head. Lots of dark rye bread in the aroma, dark sugars as well. Some prunes and dried figs. It’s pretty sweet on the palate, quite thin and with a low carbonation level. Some lemon in the flavor, but only enough to deal with the sweetness. Dark rye bread and some dried fruits too. Lasting sweet and bready finish. A quite pleasant one, but in small quantities only. 140503

50cl PET at some pancake place in Riga. Pours clear dark brown with almost no head. Dark malty and bready aroma with caramel and notes of dark fruits. Sweet and bready without any signs of bitterness. Quite okay, but a bit too sweet.

330ml tap@Valmiermuiza alus tirgotava, with Stefan, Red body with tiny pink head. Strawberry and flowerbed aroma. Wooo, sweeeet as candy and tastes mainly of sugar and strawberry. I can feel my teeth deteriorating and hear my dentist sigh. It’s like a Strawberry Margarita, so if you have a girlfriend who does not like beer, you can buy it for her. Myself I prefeer REAL Margaritas, and REAL beer.

Bottle 330ml. @ Valdema-ra Pasa-ža, A.Bria-na iela- 9a, Riga, Latvia LV - 1001.Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, bread, caramel, brown sugar. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, caramel, bread, brown sugar. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120729]

Bottle. Pours clear copper brown with no head. Dark aroma of rye bread. Sweet taste of treacle. Rather unbalanced and excessively sweet. Didn’t finish the bottle.

Bottle. Burnt caramel aroma. Seemingly clear reddish colour, no head. The flavour is very sweet. Has the same caramel note as the aroma, very syrupy. Like watered down (not much) molasses. Roasted and burnt finish. My god, it is sweet.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark red brown with negligible tan head. Clear aroma of rye bread. Sweet taste of malt and rye bread. Sourish finish. OK.
