Probier Bamber 2016. Dark red, golden lace. Berry sweet sticky/molassis nose, a hint butter. Medium full sticky body, grassy bitterness. Not the right balance for me.

Probier Bamberg 2016. Murky brown amber, low head. Muggy melanoidin malt and lactic nose. Dry start, damp hayish malt, lactic towards the finish.

Hazy dark amber with little white head. Aroma is is cherry pips, cherry, caramel, some spices. Taste is almost watery, little sweetness and sourness. Some sharp finish of more sourness and sweetness. Not so smooth, still nice.

Hazy brown with almost no head. Aroma is flowers, herbs, clay in particular, honey. Taste is citrus sourness with a little fruity sourness. Floury mouthfeel. White wine aftertaste.

Clear golden with little white head. Aroma is slight sweat socks, papaya, tropic fruit, butter as well, well balanced. Taste is not much: A little hop bitterness and even less fruity sweetness. Easy to drink, not heavy, nice!

Bottle. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is grassy, juicy hops, some mango and maracuja. Taste is the same, with an addition of crackery malts. Oily mouthfeel. Very nice!

Bottle. Hazy ruby color with small head. Aroma is dirty diapers, caramel, quite tart. Taste is the same, with some berry skin. Oily mouthfeel. The aroma is weird, but it’s an ok beer.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, amber colour with a mid-sized off-white foamy head. Slightly piney and fruity hoppy aroma with notes of citrus, delicately exotic hints, as well as a slightly toast-malty background and quite strong phenolic spices. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dry and slightly toasted malt character with bready, nutty notes and a tinge of caramel, accompanied by piney, resiny and mildly fruity hops, lingering into the dry and moderately hop bitter finish with present phenolic notes. Not as rounded as expected. 11.IX.16
