Finally: of the 3 cadolzburgers bought the first one without off flavours or odours. They lost me however already at "Irish Stout: Ein weiteres Beispiel englischer Bierkultur". Typical misinformed German drivel parading as knowledge. Nice aromas of berries, cherries, coffee. Nice malty hit up front, dry, coffee notes obscuring some hints of fruit. Nice lingering malty bitterness. Drinkable. Too high carbonation and not enough body to be a stout for me. More like a dark lager. Points for the nose.

Slightly hazy dark amber nearly ruby pour with a small stable head. It again has this slightly soapy / buttery odour of the other cadolzburgers I have tried. Slight malty aroma behind it and some caramel. The soapy butterscotch is present in the taste too. Balanced carbonation, nice maltiness but the buttery flavor is unwelcome. Maybe they have a Diacetyl problem. Nice try with the gourmet edition claim though...

Slightly hazy dark straw yellow with a 1cm head. Soapy nose with hints of vegetal, toffee, vanilla. Unusual. Same soapy taste in the mouth. Receding to floral vegetal notes. Metallic thin at the end with some lingering bitterness and very slight hints of toffee. Slightly unpleasant.... Pencilled in "26" on the label for the best before... Highly professional.

50 cl bottle. Hazy dark brown color. Medium off-white head. Short lasting retention. Aroma is similar to a Hefeweizen Dunkel. High sweetness and light sourness. Caramel , nutty. Medium body and carbonation. Don’t know what to think about this one.

Bottle, Landbierparadies. Dark chestnut, brown foam. Milk chocolate caramel roast nose. Medium body, chewy mellow with sparkly pings. Dry roast malt base, a bit Stroopwaffel-like sirupy caramel, cocoa, coffee, smoke, some flowery hops retronasal.

Bottle, Landbierparadies. Cloudy sark red amber, low offwhite head. Berry butterscotch nose with earthy notes. Medium to full body, foamy, dry minerals, a bit more diacytyl than I like, melanoidin, sticky berried caramel finish, smoky burnt retronasal. A bit messy.

500ml bottle [6.5% abv]. Slightly cloudy, redd-ish, dark amber colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Mellow, wheaty malty, slightly yeasty fruity and minimally fruity hoppy aroma, hints of strawberry, a touch of cherry, whiffs of banana. Taste is sweet-ish, wheaty malty, slightly yeasty fruity and fruity hoppy, hints of strawberry, frozen strawberry, a touch of cherry and banana. Watery texture, indifferent palate, medium, soft carbonation. Very nice colour, rather untypical flavours - not really convincing.
