15/VIII/17 - 75cl bottle, flip-top bottle (iirc) @ Help-Me-Get-to-10K-In-Time-Tasting 2 (home) - BB: 9/VII/17 (oh noes!) (2017-1226) Thanks to Tinus for sharing the bottle!
Clear bright red beer, big aery to creamy beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: pretty fruity, earthy, bit funky, some strawberry jam. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sourish from the start, lemony, fruit notes, yeasty touch, pretty bitter, and hoppy, nice acidity. Aftertaste: fruity, bitter, some strawberry, bit sweet, some tannins, very fruity, very nice stuff. Surprised at the low ratings for this beer.

Buegelverschlußflasche (750ml, Edition 1, BBF 10/17): Cloudy, golden to orangey coloured, big rocky off-white head, that slowly collapses; fresh zesty-orangey-lemony nose, yeasty and wheaty aromas from far behind; moderate dryish sourish-bitter flavour; medium bodied and a bit fizzy; lingering zesty-citrussy finish with delicate traces of piney hops and a yeasty background. Very refreshing...

Bügelverschlußfläschla (1000ml): Hazy, amber coloured, huge and stable creamy off-white head; mild sweetish-sourish nose of malt, toasted malt and grassy hops; moderate sweet-bitter and sourish, too flavour, quite light bodied, at least soft; sourish-bitter finish with yeast and fruity flavours. Not a good one. Totally disappointing...

50 cl bottle @ olio, BBE 18.08.2017
Aroma is musty with bush leaves and cereal-like malt. Flavour has bush leaves, harsh citrusy bitterness and grapefruit. One lemon juice, not good.

(bottle, 75cl, ProBier, Bamberg) Hazy, reddish amber colour with a short and off-white foamy head. Delicately sour, mildly wheaty and ashy aroma with notes of red berries, morellos and yeasty spice. Moderately sour and slightly tart flavour, medium to light bodied with a soft carbonation. Sour-fruity, wheaty taste with notes of cherries and red berries; lingering sour-fruity finish with a present level of acidity. Nice try. 19.XI.16

Aroma is musty with bush leaves and some cereal-like malt. Flavour has cereal, bush leaves and some toffee. There’s even some notes of contamination. Not good.

Aroma is musty with hay, peaches and bush leaves. Flavour is bitter in a harsh way with bush leaves and grain. Foamy palate. Finishes with menthol tones and more bush leaves. Not good.

Aroma is like a fruity IPA; tropical fruits, fruit juice and peaches. Flavour has strong bush leaves, some grapefruit and herbs. Foamy palate. Aroma was promising but flavour is rather harsh and disappointing. Not your typical kölsch.

Sampled from 0.75 l bottle (labeled as ’Weizen India Pale Ale Edition III’), best before July 2017. Hazy, golden yellow with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly fruity-grassy and a little yeasty-spicy aroma of wheat, citrus, vanilla and clove. Sweetish, moderately bitter, slightly fruity-resiny aroma of orange jam, red fruits, mango, caramel and some pine, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, rather dry and slightly grassy-resiny taste. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay!
