In the fall of 2016, Brasserie Lupulus produced the first hectoliters of Tripick, which went on sale in November. "We intended it from the outset for the export market, explains director Mewissen. We didn't want to be interested in the Belgian market, but word of mouth, then the two prizes we won at the World Beer Award in August 2017, caught up with us." The two Tripick beers have indeed won the prizes for Belgium in the "Strong Lager" category. A competition among the three or four most raised in the world, in which they participated "to gauge the quality of the product". With a result that exceeded their expectations. Almost forced, constrained, they launched their products in Belgium and internationally at the same time, relying on the know-how of Frédéric Ambroise to apply the commercial strategy, and establish contacts with distribution companies and importers.

hazy yellow colour, medium sized creamy white head; aroma of lemony-lemon peel, grassy, green herbal (maybe basil) and some floral and earthy-barnyard notes; taste has the same notes with definite hoppy bitterness; not bad

hazy pale yellow colour, medium sized dense ecru-ish white head; aroma of grassy, green herbs, barnyard, Belgian yeast and some grainy, as well as bread crusty notes; quite hoppy-bittery taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma; good one

33 cl bottle at Grand Casino, Namur. A cloudy pale golden pour with an egg-white, thick yet short-lived head. Aroma reminds me of a session Citra IPA: grapefruit, pomelo, lemon, arugula. Dry, fresh, weak body. Bitterish, medium-lasting finish. Again, this looks more like a session IPA than a Belgian golden.

33 cl bottle at Namur's Grand Casino. A very hazy pale orange pour, sediment showing. Thick, long-lasting, snow-white head. Aroma is orange, cookies, earth, dandelion. Dry mouthfeel, powerful sip (well balanced by its acidity, though.) Long-lingering, rather bitter finish.
