Description
Tripick beer has been added to the landscape of Belgian beers thanks to an evening with friends. Whether fruity, blond or triple, this 100% Liège beer will not leave anyone indifferent! A local Belgian beer, produced in collaboration with the Lupulus brewery.

In the fall of 2016, Brasserie Lupulus produced the first hectoliters of Tripick, which went on sale in November. "We intended it from the outset for the export market, explains director Mewissen. We didn't want to be interested in the Belgian market, but word of mouth, then the two prizes we won at the World Beer Award in August 2017, caught up with us." The two Tripick beers have indeed won the prizes for Belgium in the "Strong Lager" category. A competition among the three or four most raised in the world, in which they participated "to gauge the quality of the product". With a result that exceeded their expectations. Almost forced, constrained, they launched their products in Belgium and internationally at the same time, relying on the know-how of Frédéric Ambroise to apply the commercial strategy, and establish contacts with distribution companies and importers.

Bottle on the 1856 Brussels - St Pancras, 374025 & 026, 11/06/18. Light haze on a pale golden blonde pour with a big old white head formed of bubbles. Nose is dusty fruits, straw, grains, faint lemon, rather thin. Taste comprises pale malts, lemon rind, faint yeast esters, light herb. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so ... no complete stinker ... just not much happening.

Bottle at bar bruxelles. This is what I came to italy for ! Pours unclear blonde, with yeastflakes. Unclear light makes it hard to determine the actual shade of blonde. Medium sized, very pillowy white head, very stable, somz lacing. Smell is bit honey sweetness from the malts. Mild maderization. Not sure whether this bottle is old, as the date is on the cap, which I didnt get. Taste is sharp, bit bitter, malty , some madeirization. This bottle is probably aged, or at least kept too warm. It's not ruined though, the end result still is very drinkable, typicly belgian ( overcarbonated, esthers,... ) but its hard to give an honest score to a bottle that seems to taste maltreated.
