330mL bottle, pours a hazy dark orange with a small white head - quite dark for a helles. Aroma brings out herbal notes, boiled vegetables and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with herbal notes, boiled vegetables and skunk cabbage. Way too herbal in the unpleasant sense, with boiled cabbage on the finish. Not good.

330mL bottle, courtesy of alex_leit (thanks Alex!), pours black with a small beige head. Nose brings out balsamic notes, red wine and tart red berries. Flavour reveals lots of balsamic, with a hint of bourbon barrels, wood, and a bit of paint thinner. Bewildering beer - it doesn't have the body or roasted malt depth to qualify as an imperial stout. More like a very balsamic sour brown. Not too convincing.

330mL bottle, courtesy of alex_leit (thanks Alex!), pours black with a large tan head. Nose brings out medium roasted malt, with light caramel and some pronounced hoppiness. Flavour is along the same lines, with medium roast, some vinous character, and oxidation. Seems a bit infected, with the sour, vinous notes. A little balsamic on the finish. Problematic bottle, it seems.

330mL bottle at Craftman, pours black with a tiny beige head. Aroma brings out lots of balsamic vinegar, tart red fruits, and oak barrels. Flavour is pure balsamic vinegar, with oak barrels, Worcestershire sauce, and a touch of toasted malt. If you don't think of this as an imperial stout, this is more enjoyable. Quite decent.

On tap at Craftman, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Nose brings out light citrus hops and a dry biscuity malt. Flavour is very bland, with light biscuity malt and almost nonexistent hops. Little flavour or character in general. Uninteresting.

On tap at Craftman, pours a deep dark reddish black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out light toasted malt and subtle dry hopping. Flavour is quite dry, with toasted malt and dry hopping. Needs more hopping. It's bitter, but lacking depth. Meh.
