Description
Ārpus Brewing Co. is an independent microbrewery, founded in 2017 by craft beer geeks from Latvia. We brew what we love - juicy hop forward ales, fruity sour beers and bold imperial stouts - and we’re proud that Ārpus Brewing Co. is voted as #1 brewery in the Baltic States on Untappd.
We chose Latvian word Ārpus for the name of our brewery, as its meaning reflects the types of beers we brew - outside the box, beyond the mass made lagers, beers with overwhelming flavours and aromas for people brave enough to step out of their comfort zone.
The brewery is located just outside Riga (Latvia), equipped with a 10hL brewhouse and 20hL fermentation vessels. Our beer is packaged in 440mL cans and KeyKegs, then stored in a cold room to keep it fresh longer.

Smell-weak fruits, malt, citrus. Foam- thin, bit fruity, weak hops, weak sweetness, weak citrus. Head is small, white color. Appearance- Simple can. Hazy, orange color, no carbonation. From- snifter Taste - fruity-ish, some sweetness, some citrus, some malt, some hops. Generally neutral enough, to the sweet side but nothing to praise about.Still quite nice.

Smell- weak to medium, fruits, hops, malt, faint citrus. Foam- thin, hoppy, bitter, some fruits, citrus, bit acidic, alcohol. Foam is quite small, white color. Appearance- can with flowers, nice but no bonus. Hazy orange color, weak carbonation present. From- snifter Taste - fruity, sweet, hops, bitterness, above-average strength bitter aftertaste. Still very sweet and fruity in there mix. Hops and bitterness are a bit harsh, but sweetness and large alcohol content help to balance it out.

Gusher :( Gushimine viis ka gaasi välja. Maitse on iseenesest ok, aga alks käib üle ja humala kick on kadunud (BB on 31.05.2021) ehk siis paar kuud vana. Ok. 3.4

Can from Sophie’s Beer Store Well this frothed like anything out of the can, but when poured into a glass there was virtually no head at all ! Poured a cloudy greenish yellow anyway. Has a very strong nose of lemon. In the mouth there is lemon and grapefruit as expected, but also ginger and even some chillis (which weren’t expected !). Finish is soft and lemon. I quite like this – may be my favourite Arpus beer yet.

Can. An unclear yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of spices, hops, citrus fruits, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, spices, citrus fruits, and malt, leading to a bitter finish.

Pint can at Chinaski Lavapiés, Madrid. A hazy grapefruit-hued pour with no head. Aroma is almost non-existent: after a while letting it breathe I got a hint of hibiscus, nothing else. Bone-dry, watery, medium sourness (I was expecting tartness or, at least, crispness, but nope!) Low body, even lower aftertaste.
