Ārpus Brewing Co.
Microbrewery

Vidzeme,
Latvia 🇱🇻
Associated Venue: FTD Pizza x Ārpus Taproom
- Out of business
Established in 2017
We chose Latvian word Ārpus for the name of our brewery, as its meaning reflects the types of beers we brew - outside the box, beyond the mass made lagers, beers with overwhelming flavours and aromas for people brave enough to step out of their comfort zone.
The brewery is located just outside Riga (Latvia), equipped with a 10hL brewhouse and 20hL fermentation vessels. Our beer is packaged in 440mL cans and KeyKegs, then stored in a cold room to keep it fresh longer.

Bottle. Golden, clear, snow-white foam. Aroma: hops, fruit, a light spice, a little watermelon. Taste: clean, watermelon and a few other fruits, very drinkable, soft hop bitterness.

Draft glass @ TAKA Bar. Pure hazy orange, small white. Nose is flat cheese, overripe stone fruit, too yoghurt. Taste is bit too doughy, cheesy, yoghurt, hop, all yeast, not optimal but, had worse NEIPA but also better.

On tap at Alus Muia, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of coriander, followed by subdued mango. Flavour is similar, with more coriander than mango, followed by a soft wheaty palate. Not bad.
